I love the soft colors of the Wyoming and Colorado prairies--soft blues and purples of the mountains, the layers of the terrain, and the soft greens, tans, yellows that dominate, and the rich reds, rusts and orange that add the pop to the landscape. So often, we take these scenes for granted and fail to really see the beauty of these little vignettes.

I used Wallis sanded paper as the ground and a mix of soft pastels. This is a sweet painting depicting scenes found all over the West.

This painting is matted and framed, ready for hanging. Although, if purchased matted but unframed, the shipping would be less. It will fit in a standard-sized 11 x 14-inch frame.
