My friend and fellow pastelist, Laurie Crawford, went to the Everett, WA arboretum in 2010 to take photos from which to paint before I moved away. I'm so glad we did...this is a sweet painting from that day. It brings back fond memories.

Having lived in Washington State for several years, it is a pleasure to revisit these lush landscapes from photographs I have taken over the years.  

This was my first experience using small Pastelboard.  The Pastelboard was easy to work with and held the pastel well.
