This was the early morning view from our balcony at our time-share on the tourist corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur. I am fortunate to have two locations there that carry my work.

“!Marimba!” 8x10” Original Pastel Painting by Colorado Artist Margretta S. Perry
“!Marimba!”
8x10”
Original Pastel Painting by Colorado Artist Margretta S. Perry
PRIVATE COLLECTION
These
children were amazing! They were playing the marimba so well, I could hardly
believe they were such young children. I would guess about 7 & 8 years old
perhaps…and standing on a bench so they could reach. The sun and shade was
lovely and a nice backdrop for the musicians. This photo was taken in Cabo San
Lucas a couple of years ago.
I used
Wallis sanded paper as the ground and a mix of soft pastels.
